Yesterday, a friend mentioned that they’ve noticed that when using AI to write, prompts are becoming simpler and simpler. Often, a single sentence is enough to get the job done.

This aligns perfectly with my own experience.

As models get stronger, the “tide” of prompt techniques is receding, leaving only one thing behind—your ability to express yourself.

Why Are Prompts Becoming Simpler?

When AI first came out, we were excitedly experimenting with all sorts of complex prompts.

Why so complex?

Because back then, AI was still “dumb.” You had to say a lot and set many constraints for it to barely grasp your intent.

But things are different now.
