I spent two years on Medium, publishing content at a frequency of one article per day with very few absences. However, Medium began arbitrarily suspending accounts starting in 2024.

Let's review the main reasons we've seen for MPP (Medium Partner Program) qualification revocations:

  • AI-generated content

  • Incorrect account information

  • Being located in a region not supported by the Partner Program

  • Artificially inflating earnings through targeted inauthentic engagement, specifically including: claps, responses, highlights, mentions, and potentially adding other stories to your reading list

These are the 4 main reasons I've observed from reading dozens of articles about people's revocation feedback or experiences.
