Stop Asking Why AI Can't Write Good Articles—It's Time to Upgrade Your Prompting Method!
Learn how to create effective AI prompts! Improve your writing with clear, specific instructions and avoid vague requests for better results.
Many friends have been asking me what the secret is to creating good prompts.
To be honest, there’s no special trick—it's all about two main points:
1. Know what AI can understand, and express your needs in a way that AI can comprehend.
Let’s start with the first point:
What can AI understand?
Many people think AI is incredibly smart and understands everything. In reality, it’s the opposite—AI struggles with vague expressions. Let me show you some examples:
"Write a deep article"
"Help me write an attractive introduction"
"Generate philosophical content"
These requests are too vague for AI.
AI doesn’t understand what "deep," "attractive," or "philosophical" means.
Or, it might understand them, but its understanding may differ from what you intend.
So, what *can* AI understand?
AI needs specific, executable instructions. For example:
"Write a 2000-word article analyzing three key factors for choosing a location for a tea shop"
"Start with a real workplace story, around 200 words, illustrating the career anxiety of post-95 employees"
"Briefly describe three common life problems faced by elderly people living alone, with a solution for each"
Now, for the second point:
